Disney+

It’s not like Disney hasn’t been one of the biggest players in the entertainment industry for entire decades. However, with its recent acquisition of Marvel and 20th Century Studios, the Disney+ streaming platform has become an even more important asset.

At launch, which was back in 2019, it had more than five hundred movies and 7,500 episodes and these numbers have drastically increased since. In fact, its growing original content is the main weapon Disney will use to become a direct competitor for HBO Max, Netflix, and other such services. In March 2021, Disney+ already had over 100 million subscribers.

Catalog
As already mentioned, Disney+ delivers content from multiple studios thanks to its recent acquisitions. The streaming service has classics that you can watch, family content, animations, a plethora of original content, Marvel movies and series, Lucasfilm content, and even musicals. It’s also worth noting that the launch of Star in 2021 meant an effort to increase the age of the target audience with more mature content. At launch, Star offered 270 movies and 75 shows and introduced the parent control features. Disney+ also offers highly-interesting content from national Geographic. These are some of the most popular movies and TV shows to watch on Disney+:
